But it isn't so funny when we analyze it. Funny, too. One of the attributes of being hhuman is that we do have humour, the ability to see the "lighter" side, something that animals do not have. Someone might reply, "Oh, I disagree. I <i>think</i> animals have humour, too!" Doesn't matter what they think. What matters is what is true. Let's examine the animal world. They play. OK, there's one aspect that is close to humour. Operative term: "close to." Sarcasm, mockery, bizarre or twisting of reality that "strikes a chord" (think of Far Side or Herman or Calvin & Hobbes or Simpsons) in some folks, comedy acts, all these indicate a degree of sophistication unequalled by the animals. Why us? Interesting. But a class on humour; I think you're on to something there. Could you imagine, tho, the people who would fail that course? Ha! Now that would be funny. Funny. I completed the both posts today but have actually been worked on on-and-off for the past too weeks. So instead of a properly composed peice of prose, you get ramblings that seem to stem from several different people. I assure, it's all me and for that, I apologize. Bring it on! You're almost at the end of this phase. Keep looking within for the impetus and the necessary motivation to do your best. That includes compromises, like giving up the hockey games until the work is done! :-) (I suggest that you change the title of your blog site.
